Taking place at the Oakland Marriott Convention Center in Oakland, CA, the JOSDEN Int’l beauty expo offers hair and makeup stylists a host of leading beauty product manufacturers, education, and more. Wright will also sit on a panel of industry experts about the celebrity styling opportunities open to them outside of the salon.

MAY 8, 2009--LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. On June 12 and 13, 2009 Crystal Wright will become a permanent fixture at the newly established Itomura Makeup Academy at the Downey Adult School in Downey, California when she teaches her first comprehensive two Packaging Your Portfolio workshop, at the school. She will teach the class four times a year at the end of each quarter.
Well established in the industry (with LATINA Magazine, Sony Latin, and celebrities including Iman and Kevin Aucoin on her resume, among others), Angie Itomura instructs classes in new Makeup Academy that bears her name. The 15-week program now available to students is designed to enhance the techniques and details that are required of todays makeup artist.

Feeling the need to arm his makeup artist students with more business savvy Dexter Phillip is offering a 1-day workshop titled "The Business of Makeup Artistry: How to Build Your Clientele", taught by celebrity styling agent and Hair Makeup & Fashion Styling Career Guide author; Crystal Wright.
Wright will cover self promotion, portfolio presentation, rate negotiation, agency representation, and branding, as well as present an industry experts panel to answer questions and provide important feedback.
